Based off the Le-Mans winning Jaguar D-Type, the E-Type was launched in 1961 and instantly became a classic forever. Arguably one of the best-looking cars ever created the E-Type was an instant hit and brought new production ideas never seen before in a road car which in turn changed the motor industry forever.

Like many others, the original became the collectable and the Series 1 Jaguar E-Types certainly became the most collectable and valuable of the E-Type generations. 1965 brought some minor changes to the S1 E-Type, including the upgrade from a 3.8 litre engine to a 4.2, reclining seats, electrical and braking upgrades while still boasting the original independent front and rear suspension, disc brakes, rack and pinon steering and a 0-100 time of less than 7 seconds that the car was famous for.

This 1966 Series 1 4.2 Willow Green example is a rare opportunity to step into one of the greatest. It has the matching number 4spd gearbox installed and drives fantastically. Both the engine and rear assembly were recently rebuilt, and the roof lining and seats recently retrimmed. The car features a stainless exhaust opening up the beautiful sound created by the triple SU carburetted 4.2 straight six. This is certainly a rare collectable that you will enjoy every minute of.
