This immaculate car is pictured and described in the March 2012 edition of The E-Type magazine.

shows how difficult it is to replace the original Ambla with modern vinyl on the rear door hinge covers and lock cover. I did my upper one the same way, but although a bit patinated I left the lower one as it was, just as a reference of the original material used by the factory. Also in 1966 in a Suede Green interior (and AFAIK all the way from 1946 to 1968) also the headliner should be Suede Green, not Beige or Fawn. I have saved many bits of the original 1966 headliner when I replaced it in mine. It can fade so seriously in time that people could think it was light brown. If you know him, please give my regards to the editor (or is that P. Porter?) it would be nice for them to also realize the details about these colours as there is much misinformation around concerning the 1960's colours used originally. Cheers!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
