2/8/04 for sale at:
home.att.net/~justjags/
Price $39,500.

Sellers comment:
This is a beautiful example of the most collectable E-type; the Series I model with the enclosed headlamps, 4.2L engine and the all-synchro manual transmission.

Purchased by the original owner in August of 1966, it spent most of its life in Southern California. The car was completely restored in 1996 when it had just ~74,000 miles on it. It was purchased by the last owner in 1997 and shipped up to Portland, Oregon where it still resides.
The current owner has just completed a rebuild of the hydraulic system, installed new wheels and tires, renewed the exterior paint and detailed the engine compartment.

HIGHLIGHTS:
Matching numbers, extremely original car
authentic seatbelts
"Cheney" hose clamps in most locations
OE wiring harness
Rebuilt 4.2L engine and 4 speed manual transmission
New pistons
Rebuilt head new seals and bearings
Michelin red-line radials
New Dayton chrome wire wheels with stainless steel spokes
Brass-sleeved brake slave and clutch master cylinders
New brake master cylinder
High performance electric cooling fan for the radiator
Alpine stereo system with Phoenix Gold power amplifier
Mahogany 16 inch steering wheel
This car is a joy to drive and can stand up to the “hottest day” traffic without overheating. It has less than 77,000 miles on it and is a well sorted-out, very original restoration.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
