Ebay item 3/12/04 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $1,025.00 (Reserve not met), 6 bids, 6 days left in auction. 53k miles on the odo.
Sellers comment:
Beautiful red Jaguar XKE, “E” Type, Series III, 2+2, with biscuit interior. 53,105 original miles, V12, 5.3 litre engine, automatic transmission, chrome spoke wheels.
Vehicle Condition
The radiator and gas tank have both been pulled and refurbished, and the carburetors have all been cleaned. The master cylinder has also been replaced. The spark plugs have been changed and the timing was set. However, I haven’t driven the car very much in the past year, and I believe the timing needs to be checked again. The car was painted red by the second owner approximately 10 years ago. The paint is in excellent condition except for a couple of dings that could easily be repaired. The interior is in excellent condition having been replaced at the time the car was repainted. The headliner and door panels are in great shape, but the dash board is buckling and will probably need to be replaced. The area behind the back seat is in excellent condition. All the gages are working, but the air conditioning is not. I believe it needs a charge. The rubber window molding will have to be replaced on all windows except the front windshield. The tires have less than 1,000 miles on them, however the ball joints will need to be replaced. The spare is also a chrome spoke wheel. The “E” type Series III maintenance handbook, and “E” Type V12 Owners Workshop Manual Autobook 941 will be included with the sale. All maintenance receipts since I bought the car can be provided.

Added other numbers from data plate as per note received from current owner/sleer. Also included was the following info:
I am the third owner, second owner from Oklahoma, first owner from Texas.
The car was blue, the second owner painted it red, and I don't believe he took the blue paint off to
the metal since I cn see blue in the door jamb where the red has chipped off a little.

Sellers description:
1973 2+2 Coupe XKE V-12 automatic with factory A/C. the odometer shows 56,000 original miles we beleive to be accurate based on the condition of the car (but cannot verify). Car is an excelent driver. Recent work performed going over the entire fuel system from tank to carburator. We provided for the car brake system; new rear rotors, calipers brake pads, and a new master and slave cylinder. The car was given an engine tune up and runs and idles perfectly, no overheating issues what so ever. The car has no meaningful rust, one small spot under left rear quarter about the size of a dime. but their is some minor defects in the car's paint; a minor scratch on the drivers side roof. The interior is tan and black with clothe seats very nice condition. All gauges work as they should. Come inspect the car you will not be disappointed. Fly in and drive it home.

Lot 773
Year 1973
Make JAGUAR
Model XKE
Style 2+2 COUPE
VIN UD1S75154
Exterior Color ORANGE
Lot #773 - This 1973 Jaguar E-Type coupe is a meticulously maintained example that shows in very good condition mechanically and cosmetically. The 5.3-liter V12 engine is clean and very nicely detailed with mostly correct finishes, decals and hardware. Receipts totaling in excess of $30,000 within the last four years demonstrate the length the past owner took to ensure it is a strong-running and well-sorted car. An engine-out service included an external reseal, valve adjustment, rebuilt carburetors, new water pump, machined and resealed exhaust manifolds, new thermostats, all new hoses, belts, and rebuilt starter and alternator. At the same time, the front suspension was rebuilt, the steering rack replaced, power steering pump rebuilt, radiator replaced and new hardware and mountings fitted upon reassembly. Receipts also show fresh brake calipers, brake master cylinder and wheel bearings, as well as new front shocks and other details. The Signal Red exterior is complemented with Biscuit Tan upholstery in factory-correct materials. The dash and gauges are original and in very good condition, including the original Kienzle clock. A wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel has been added, and the original radio is still in place in the console. This car is equipped with all three of the available factory options that Jaguar offered 1973: chrome wire wheels, air conditioning and an automatic transmission. With great-quality cosmetics and extensive service history, this E-Type 2+2 is an excellent example to enjoy and drive. The combination of the silky smooth V12, automatic transmission and power steering make it a fantastic grand touring car, with ample room for luggage and even an occasional extra passenger. It is a well-sorted, cosmetically attractive example.
