Sellers description:
This 2 owner 1971 Jaguar E-Type was purchased by its current owner in 1973 with only 50,000 miles on it and has since only been driven in the summer on excellent weather days and spent its nights/winters stored in a heated garage since 1973, it has never seen snow or a rainy day. The Jaguar was last driven 9 years ago and has since been kept in storage. Due to the fact of the prolonged storage it has become an excellent restoration project with only minor work needed to get this Jaguar back to its former glory.
NADA lists this type of Jaguar in its Classic Car Report at these base prices.
Low Retail – 28,050 USD
Average Retail – 41,450 USD
High Retail – 63,250 USD
Although this Jaguar is in Average Retail Condition due to the known issues stated below it is being listed below a low retail value!
-Known Issues-
Brake Caliper piston seals leak – NO BRAKES!!!
Fuel System needs cleaned – Engine will turn over but the car has not started in 9 years.
Cracked rear plastic window due to age.
The car has been stored under a car cover, but after 9 years it could use a through detailing.
This Jaguar is all 100% original except for the following - the drivers side mirror was replaced with a different remotely adjustable one (Original Mirror has been kept and stored with the car). The car was professionally repainted in 1992 due to a scratch it received while parked.
