Vehicle Description: Here's a very interesting car. A former feature car in a Petersen magazine (either Hot Rod or Popular HotRodding) back in the '70s. (A copy of the article is included)1963 E-Type FHC with a Ford small block that was installed as a bolt in job.Designed by Lockheed engineer Art Harkless, the kit made it possible to do the swap without cutting the frame.That means it can be unbolted to reinstall a 3.8 or 4.2 as they're supposed to be! The car was found very neglected, yet very complete, from the dot pattern console to the Phillips AM/FM radio (which isn't connected though it does work.)All guages, trim, and glass are here. Also the stock barrel seats. Currently registered,running and driving, this would be a great car to return to it's glory, or make a really mean street rod!

Vehicle Condition: Needs restoration- Paint and upholstery are shot. 1973 Ford 302 and C-4 are FAST!!!! Runs excellent, new 4-row radiator keeps it cool. relatively straight, some rust in front of left rear wheel, floor wells need replaced.

The conversion was done as a bolt in, the subframe was not cut at all. For the "purists" that have sent messages; If you find another series 1 3.8 coupe, that runs and drives, is curently registered and 100% complete down to the early steering wheel at my price, give me the address or phone number and I'll buy it! For the whiners, any car can be a "MATCHING NUMBER" if you order a new data plate from a purveyor in Hemmings, so stop using your heads as suppositories, and either do the job or get off the pot! I can easily part out this one of 2094 S1 FHCs, one of 300 odd Opalescent Bronze (factory color)and put the left overs in a junk yard for you to wet your pants and cry over. I shouldn't have said the interior was shot; just the seat upholstery.

Owner also E-mailed me the following text:

No rust in the boot well..... I do have the correct steering wheel, it's off for safe keeping but will be
reinstalled for the new owner. All guages and toggles (white or clear) are here, correct dot pattern
aluminum trim. 1973 Ford 302 Edelbrock Performer manifold Four row radiator, all the rest is
stock equipment. * Note that this car has its bonnet hinges and springs, and that they are in
good working condition!
