Quote from E-Type Lovers personal page:

Here is my humble contribution to the photo album, a recent picture of my '63 OTS in its new home town of Bergen, Norway. I apologise for the lack of polar bears, they tend to avoid direct sunlight on hot summer days. ;-)

About the car: S1 OTS LHD #879727, a 20-footer if ever there was one, arrived in Norway in November 97, after 34 years in the U.S.A. Its original op. dark blue/light blue colour combination has been changed to all black, but I have plans... The engine has matching numbers, but gearbox and brakes have been uprated to 4.2-spec.

I was looking for a solid, rust-free, running car with plenty of room for improvement. Well, what I got was a car that actually seems to be almost rust-free (at least I haven't found any rust yet), but that seems to need a lot of attention before it could be called a "solid driver".

JagTips is absolutely great, I hope that you'll keep it going forever!

Just a small correction: The original interior colour was Light Blue, not Light Tan. Even if the colour combination Opalescent Dark Blue/Light Blue was not officially available in 1963, this is how the car was finished. (Both according to the JDHT certificate and evidence found in the car.)

    Hi Samuel,

congratluations to this beautiful car - and the nice pictures. I also have a darkblue E-Type (1e33272) and I think that it is the best colour for this great car! enjoy it!

    compliments,
    Thomas

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
