Ebay item 6/20/12 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1963-Jaguar-E-Type-Series-OTS-XKE-/170863000569
Current bid $25,230 reserve not met, 6 bids 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
A well cared for, restored 1963 E-type roadster. I have owned and operated this car since 1986 (26 years) and have receipts for maintenance and restoration from 1984. It has always been garaged and covered since I've owned it. The car placed third in the Nations Capitol Jaguar Owners Club Concours in the Driven Class (Numbers do not match). A complete body off restoration with new paint and chrome was completed in 1996. The interior was not done. Driven regularly without problems until a few years ago. Recent work includes:
New fuel pump, spark plugs, and ignition harness New clutch and rebuilt master and slave cylinders for clutch New engine mounts Rebuilt steering column and speedo New U-Joints
Rebuilt brake master cylinder, stainless steel calipers New Dayton stainless steel wire wheels and tubeless Goodrich G-Force tires ( less than 100 miles)
This car was originally delivered to a U.S,. serviceman in Delacroix, France, January of 1963.
The car is an excellent driver, not a show car. Numbers DO NOT match, the 4.2L engine and synchromesh transmission are from a 1969 series II Jaguar and along with the GM/Delco alternator make this a faster, more reliable road machine. Included with sale are the four original chrome wire wheels, assorted parts, manuals, and books about the Jaguar XKE.

Car to be at auction 8/23
www.mecum.com/lots/1092843/1963-jaguar-e-type-series-i-roadster/
Auction description:
Lot F62 // Monterey 2023
Estimate: $120,000 - $165,000
VIN / Serial 878793
4.2L inline 6-cylinder engine
4-speed manual transmission
4-wheel disc brakes
Green with Tan interior
Chrome knock-off wire wheels
This British Racing Green left-hand drive roadster with tan interior is a 1963 car, it features the larger engine. Though still rated at 265 HP, a key benefit of the 4.2L unit was an 18% improvement in torque to 283 lb-ft with peak power coming in at lower revs. The result was better throttle response and fewer up and down shifts on the 4-speed manual transmission. In this example, it’s important to note it features the full-house triple-SU carb setup of the initial 4.2L cars, before U.S. federal regulations got hold of the E-type and imposed power-sapping twin carburetors.
