We are always looking for exceptional classic cars from any manufacturer but it is always very pleasing to get an 'E' Type, from the Browns Lane Jaguar stable, as it is one of the definitive British classic sportscars of all time.
This 1962 3.8 roadster is in excellent condition throughout having become the subject of a five year, no expense spared, restoration further to its re-importation from the U.S.A. in 1993 and it has completed a mere 8,500 miles since. Additions to its original specification included uprated brakes, the fitment of a stainless steel exhaust and it was converted from left hand to right hand drive.
This is one of the best you will find and it is currently tested until July 2003 and is being sold today with the excellent private registration number MFF 186.

MFF186 is not the original reg of this vehicle, it is an age-related re-registration issued by DVLA in Feb 1994

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
