E - Type Commemorative. One of the last 50 made (being No. 6 from the end). I have known this car from new as it belonged to the local Jaguar distributor. 8, 700 miles with full Jaguar service history. Never had any paint since leaving the factory.

I agree with 2005-04-02. Elderly gentleman selling e-types along with antiques on a farm. Was asking £23k for Series 1 FHC in 2004 and I managed to put my hand through a rust hole in the footwell - what the rest of the unseen body work was like who knows ?

Abbreviated article from Ledbury Reporter of 5 March 2013 runs: A car enthusiast is looking for information about the previous owners of a rare sports car he owns which once belonged to a Malvern auto dealer. He bought the E type Series 3 in August 2005 from Woodmanton Classic Cars, a specialist dealer near Bromyard. This commemorative model is one of a very limited edition built right at the end of the E type Series 3 production run. The owner says 'It was a demonstrator used by Rothwell and Milbourne during the 1970's, being owned by John and Judy McVitie who were the garage owners at the time. Its registration number at the time was ALM30 'I believe the history of the vehicle to be as important as the condition so anything that can be found would be appreciated'. His wife said 'My husband is very keen on Jaguars and he has four working E types and 2 XKE's. As this is a commemorative model it doesn't go on the road. Anyone with information should e-mail sales@poolethwaite.co.uk.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
