This 1973 E-Type Convertible, registered YWA 342 M, is offered from its fifth owner. The first two owners, a man and subsequently his niece in Wales, owned it from new until 2005. During its first three years, 31,290 miles were covered, and since 1976 it travelled only another 22,500 miles, with these figures supported by accompanying MoT certificates. Interestingly, the second owner kept it with the factory hardtop and removed the convertible top for improved interior room, and she is reported to have driven and enjoyed the Jaguar well into her 70s. Next, it was sold via a dealer and spent five years in the north of England, where it was stored and travelled just 1,000 more miles.

The current owner acquired it a year and a half ago, and a retired Jaguar engineer specialising in E-Types meticulously re-commissioned it to solid driving condition. The Pink Heather exterior finish was professionally stripped and replaced by the current Primrose Yellow, nicely complemented by the Cerise leather upholstery and carpets, recalling a factory-correct colour combination. A new soft top was installed, along with new speed-rated tyres. All pressure hoses were replaced, the steering box was replaced, the brakes were overhauled, an XFS ignition system was installed, the shock absorbers were replaced, and the carburettors were rebuilt, among other work.

This lovely V-12 E-Type also features an FM radio with an iPod link and new speakers. Various bills and all MoT certificates since 1976 accompany the sale of the car, as well as a factory repair manual, a driver's manual and a Jaguar tool kit. With only about 55,000 miles, this E-Type benefits both from the work of marque specialists as well as the V-12 power for which the Series III cars are so well known.
