    Ebay item 4/4/07
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-1969-Jaguar-XKE-2-2-frame-off-Nut-n-Bo ...
Current bid $20,100, reserve not met, 17 bids. 6 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
This is an absolutely breath taking car. It would be easier for me to tell you what has not been done to the car rather than telling you what has. Everything has been done!! The current owner bought this Jag from the original owner in 1978. It was in fair condition when he bought it but not good enough for him. In 2005 the complete frame off, nut and bolt, rotisserie restoration was complete. As you can see from the pictures this car was completely taken apart and put back together. The body was in good condition with normal minor rust in the usual Jag placed so the owner filled those spots in with lead. Since the completion of the restoration in 2005 he has only added 734 miles to the vehicle and only 10 in the last 12 months. The original color of Regency Red looks like new. The paint is a base coat/clear coat with no chips, dings or dents anywhere. All the trim on the Jaguar is in show condition. The front bumper is not new but looks very good. All the body gaps on the Jag line up great and it shows very well.

The engine is the original to the car. It is a 4.2 Liter # 7R35032-9 with the original 4-speed manual transmission (model# KJS754). The engine and transmission were both completely rebuilt to stock. This car runs and drives so nice that you could fly in from anywhere and drive this beautiful car home.

The interior is all new to the car. The seats, carpet, headliner and dash are all new to the car and as you can see from the pictures it is in show condition. The Blapunk stereo sounds very nice and looks like a perfect fit to the car. The only thing in the car that does not work is the clock. The clock has not been worked for awhile. The owner has not replaced it due to the fact that an aftermarket would be a deduct at judging events. And, even with the original not working it still judges better because it is the original type for the car.

You are not going to find any better examples of a 1969 Jaguar XKE out there than this one. If you are thinking of restoring a Jag, you could just buy this one finished for allot less time and cost of doing one for yourself. This Jaguar has beaten out Corvette’s and other muscle cars at car shows and has won best of show at several shows. It has won 1st place because of the detail of the restoration and blew other Jaguars away. If you looking for the best of the best look no further.

    Car returns to ebay 7/11/07
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $9,200 reserve not met, 9 bids, 5 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Coudersport, Pennsylvania.

    Sellers description:
This is a 1969 E type 2+2 in ultraclean condition. The previous owner completed a frame off nut and bolt restoration in 2005 including a new interior, new leather seats front and back, new headliner, and new carpets. The engine, transmission and steering were rebuilt, with new brakes, new paint with clearcoat, and new Michelin tires rated to 140 mph. The car had around 740 miles on it since restoration was completed and I have put just over 200 trouble free miles on since I purchased the car. Every thing works with the exception of the clock. The interior is very close to concourse perfect. There is absolutely no rust on the car and the undersurface is as clean as the rest of the car. While there has not been a drop of leakage from the engine, transmission or rear end, and the engine and transmission run great, the valves are noisy and should eventually be adjusted . This Jaguar has essentially been rebuilt from the ground up and it looks it. It would be virtually impossible to restore a typical E Type to this level for what the reserve is set at. While it is not a concourse level restoration I believe it is a solid driver at 9 out of 10. I have not seen another E type 2+2 listed on ebay in the past 3 to 4 years restored to this condition. There is not a single ding or stone chip anywhere that I can find.

Anyone else notice that this Series II has a Series I bonnet on it? Kinda weird that it's not mentioned in the description at all.
