Ebay item 7/9/08 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1970-Jaguar-XKE-Series-II-FHC-not-2-2_W0QQ ...
Current bid $15,100 reserve not met, 13 bids, 8 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
I have owned this Jaguar Series II Fixed Head Coupe (FHC) for over 20 years but have only driven it about 1,000 miles over that period. As such, the car only has 59,235 on it. Updates include: new carpet, new Connolly leather seat covers, new door panels, Momo steering wheel, exhaust headers and Stebro (4 tip) exhaust system, front and rear Koni shocks, new Diehard battery, new Pirelli tires, new knock-offs on original wire wheels, new SU electronic fuel pump, and new (gear reduction) starter. The car has been well maintained and drives well. The engine is original to the car, starts easily and has 50 lbs of oil pressure at idle (on its new Smiths mechanical oil guage). The only mechanical issue that I know of is that 2nd gear is stiff until it warms up. All body panels appear to be original. The car was repainted by the previous owner and is very shiny but has a few flaws and dings. I would categorize it as very good driver quality. Also included with the car are the original exhaust manifolds, air cleaner and a triple SU carb and manifold setup (that I never got around to installing). This is a Southern California car so there are no rust problems. I have set a realistic Reserve on the car. I have too many cars and not enough space so unfortunately this one has to go.
