    1969 Jaguar XKE 4.2 Series 2 Fixed-Head Coupe
    Chassis no. 1R25011
A very early left-hand drive Series 2 E-Type coupe, this car bears the 11th chassis number of that series. It was purchased by the current owner as an original car in January 1992. It has since been the subject of a progressive restoration, repainted in the original Regency Red and furnished with a complete new leather interior in the original beige. All weatherstripping and gaskets are new, as are the brakes, universal joints and rear shock absorbers. The front and rear suspension, along with the steering gear, have been completely rebuilt. All hydraulic systems have been either rebuilt or replaced.

The front and rear bumpers are newly replaced, nicely complementing the remaining original chrome, which is in very good condition. The car has new chrome wire wheels, mounted with Vredestein Class R-rated radial tires. The original owner's wallet is included. A lovely example of the Series 2 E-Type fixed-head coupe, this car will be appreciated by the discriminating buyer for its full restoration.
    Estimate:
    US$ 30,000 - 40,000

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
