The car was shipped from USA to Holland in 1995. I have been the owner since1997. Present registrationnumber = DL-82-31. Car has been restored in an "ordinary" way and is in a very drivable condition. The American 1972-owner has visited Holland and drove "his" old car there.

I am the former owner of the Jag in question ('72-'78), and my wife and I did indeed accept Jan's generous offer to visit and stay with him in the summer of 2001. It was a strange and joyous reunion, made more so by finding my old car in such wonderful condition and by Jan's exhortations, as we were hurtling around the dikes, to 'give it more gas. It's not an old woman, it's a race car!'

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
