This information was provided to me by two letters that I sent to Jaguar. The firs was dated 7-14-78 and signed by J.C. Johnson. The second was dated 9-30-87 and signed by I.M. Luckett of Jaguar Daimler. I do not have the delivery date. A long time ago I contacted Thrifty Rent-a-car about any info they had on the car but all records were gone.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
