Listed for sale at The Stable, LTD(www.stableldt.com). "The Series 1 E-Type is generally acknowledged to be one of the most handsome modern sports cars bever built. With it's 265 horsepower, twin cam, triple carburettor, gold head, 6-cylinder engine and 4-speed transmission, performance is exceptional. Ours is a numbers correct car, beautifully restored by Britalia Motorsports of Laguna Hills, California and driven fewer than 1,000 miles since that restoration. Purchased in California in 1998 by the Pennsylvania collector from whose estate we have just purchsased it. It has been a fair weather week-end driver and show car for the past 13 years. Beautiful in red and tan leather, top and boot, and fitted with chrome "knock off" wire wheels, this has been maintained in excellent condition throughout." Priced at $85,000.

Ebay item 4/26/12 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1966-Jaguar-XKE-Series-1-Roadster-/261010774437
Opening bid $75,000 reserve not met, no bids 9 days left in auction. Car now at Cooper Classic Cars: New York.
Sellers description:
1966 Jaguar E Type Roadster
*Original Color*Matching Numbers* JCNA Judged 98.72 Points*
This 1966 Jaguar E Type Roadster remains in its original color of Carmen Red with a Tan Leather interior and matching convertible top and boot. It is a matching numbers car that has been fully restored with documentation. The engine was rebuilt and the car was completely gone through. Following restoration it was owned by a Pennsylvania collector who used car sparingly for weekend touring, covering only 3,437 miles during his 12 years of ownership. He showed the car at a JCNA Official Concours d'Elegance on May 31st, 2003 and scored 98.72 points out of a perfect 100. The scoring sheet accompanies the car. Most recently, the car was gone through by a well known shop. The carbs were disassembled and cleaned, the exhaust system was replaced, including new manifolds, and the brakes were gone through. The car also retains its original radio. The car comes complete with owners manual, restoration records, jack, and spare. Overall this is a great example of the ever desirable Series I E Type in classic and attractive colors.
