Car has 40,000 original miles. The first owner was a Jaguar enthusists, and kept the car in very original condition. Current owner acquired the car in 1995 with 28,000 miles on odometer. The car has been repainted from bare metal, and the original top replaced. All original papers are with the car including the bill of sale and check stubs from payment. The car was accompained with a chest that contained any original part that had been replaced by the first owner. The car has a factory hardtop painted to match the body color.

This 1965 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that was refurbished by Lippincott’s Garage in Sinking Springs, Pennsylvania, in 2015 under previous ownership. Work involved repairing metal panels, refinishing the body in Opalescent Silver Blue, retrimming the interior in black leather upholstery, installing a Tremec five-speed manual transmission, and overhauling the 4.2-liter inline-six in addition to the suspension and brake systems. Equipment includes a body-color removable hardtop, a black soft top, 15″ knock-off wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, Koni shocks, a stainless steel exhaust system, a Moto-Lita steering wheel, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM push-button radio. The car was acquired by the current owner in 2024 and participated in the 2025 running of the 1000 Miglia Experience in Florida. This XKE Series I roadster is now offered on dealer consignment in Pennsylvania with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, refurbishment photos, a tool kit, the removed factory four-speed transmission, a hardtop stand, a car cover, and a clean Florida title.
Finished from the factory in Opalescent Silver Blue, the car was stripped and repainted as part of the aforementioned refurbishment. Details include a body-color removable hardtop, a black soft top, a top boot, split chrome-finished bumpers, a louvered hood, triple windshield wipers, taillights mounted above the rear bumper, and recessed headlights with clear covers.
Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels are secured with two-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with 185/70 Michelin XWX tires, while a full-size spare is stationed under the trunk floor. The car rides on Koni shock absorbers and is equipped with aftermarket sway bars, and the fully independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes were overhauled during the refurbishment.
The bucket seats were reupholstered in black leather during the refurbishment, and replacement carpets were installed at that time. Appointments include a sliding rearview mirror, lap belts, woven floor mats, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM push-button radio linked to speakers mounted on each side of the center stack.
The wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock. Auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 52k miles, approximately 600 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was overhauled during the refurbishment and is equipped with triple SU side-draft carburetors. An aluminum radiator with an electric cooling fan was retrofitted, and the selling dealer tells us that 10:1 compression pistons have been fitted along with Crower connecting rods and a high-torque starter.
The cylinder head stamping 7E1633-9 corresponds with the engine number shown on the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission that was installed as part of the refurbishment. A high-flow stainless steel exhaust system has been installed, and the removed factory four-speed transmission is included in the sale.
The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate lists factory colors and drivetrain numbers as well as the build and dispatch dates. The certificate notes that this car is the last 4.2L E-type that did not carry the 1E prefix.
