Ebay item 8/27/05 Doctor. It then went to Florida and then the owner moved to Missouri. The car was brokered by a Thoroughbred Motor Car dealer w/ a listing in the WALL STREET JOURNAL which is where the current owner saw it advertised. The car had 25,061 documented miles on it and it was sold for $40,000.oo. The car was transported here and a complete makeover was done to bring the car up to perfect specs.$ 9391.oo was the bill for all this and The receipt[s] for this are included. Over the years -the car has traveled an additional 6000 miles and all the maintenance has been done w/ no expense spared. All receipts are included. When the Doctor started thinking about selling the car-it was sent it for a complete checkover to be sure the new owner would be happy.$ 2961.oo was spent to do this in March of this year. The only things not working are the clock and A/C. In reviewing the receipts-the A/C has had service a couple of times since 1991-and its problem may be minor....but the owner felt the A/C was low priority -being a convertible !! My impession of the car is as follows::The car has its original color -and was resprayed in 1990.The color is called Greensand. The body and chassis was free of rust and appeared as a low mileage car should look.I saw a couple of minor door dings on the drivers side and 1 ding up by the rear roof/beginning trunk area. There was a minor tear in the top as pictured. The seats were covered in Lambswool and upon removal the passenger seat looked new and the drivers seat had wear and a minor seam tear close to the console. The tool kit was present and the original unused spare-but the jack was missing. All the trunk liners were there and nice. The rear panel is a spare w/ the speakers mounted flush. The original panel was removed and kept pristine and will convey w/ the car.All 4 original Dunlop tires are included-but are not mounted on the car.All the rubber gaskets etc appeared replaced except the front and rear bumpers-and they showed age.The car started right up and purred. The car drove super !! Given the owners' schedule--I am going to help as much as I can w/ questions. If you seek a "turn key" properly owned and cared for V12 Jaguar XKE Convertible I cant imagine a better example or circumstance to be found. If I had the fundss-I would own it. The reserve is set well below the original investment and at a slight discount to going prices.I believe all will consider it fair. Thank you, jp bourne
