Current bid $15k (Reserve not met), 2 bids, 6 days left in auction.
Sellers comment:
This beautiful Jaguar XKE Roadster Series III is an extraordinary find. It is showing only 9,000 miles. It is still sitting on its original Dunlap tires. The spare has never touched the ground. The car drives and handles like a low mileage car should. The car is equipped with a 272 HP 5.3 litre V12 engine with a 4 speed manual transmission. Its other features include power steering, 4 wheel disc brakes, and leather seats with no rips or tears. This is the last year for the XKE model and though it is now 30 years old it is like looking at a 3 year old car.

This 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series III roadster was originally distributed via British Leyland in New York on July 3, 1974. It is finished in white over black leather and powered by a 5.3-liter V12 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Features include a black soft top, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 15” knock-off wire wheels, quadruple carburetors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a Pioneer CD player. The car was acquired by the current owner in 2019, and work since 2023 has involved replacing the thermostat, brake master cylinder, and battery in addition to overhauling the power steering pump. This Series III E-Type is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, a black tonneau cover and top boot, and an Oklahoma title in the owner’s name.
The car is finished in white and has a black soft top, uncovered headlights, a forward-hinged louvered hood, and a power antenna. A black tonneau cover and top boot are included in the sale.
Wire-spoke 15″ wheels are secured with knock-off spinners and mounted with 205/70 Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The brake master cylinder was replaced and the power steering pump was overhauled in 2023.
The bucket seats are upholstered in black leather, which is complemented by a color-coordinated dash and door panels. Jaguar-branded rubber mats protect the floors, and a Pioneer head unit is fitted.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. An analog clock and auxiliary gauges are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows under 18k miles, and approximately 250 miles have been added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory equipped with quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was rated at 241 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque when new. The thermostat and left fan were replaced in 2023, and the battery was replaced in 2024. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace Certificate lists identification numbers and shows that the car was manufactured on April 25, 1974.
The current Oklahoma title carries a “Classic” notation.
