Seller's description:
This car is for the discerning collector who appreciates the classics. In concourse condition, this is a best-in-class example of a Series III E-Type V12 manual. It represents everything there is to love about British automotives. In short, it’s a motoring legend! E-Types hold a special place in automotive history with production coming to an end in June 1974. Launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 1961, the E-Type was in production for thirteen years and spans several generations. It is up there as one of the best British cars ever made.
This iconic car has been restored to the highest possible standard with genuine parts and accessories in an immaculate, much-loved condition with a full-service history and very low 1530miles.
The owner has undertaken a loving restoration on this E-Type with no expense spared.

VINUE1S25505

This Jaguar E-Type is a classic British open-top grand tourer, treated to a comprehensive restoration carried out by renowned Sydney-based marque specialist Gary Walker.

It is powered by its original matching-numbers naturally aspirated 5.3-litre V12, delivering around 203kW to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

Originally delivered to the US, as denoted by its ‘UE’ chassis number prefix, the car was later imported to Australia and converted to right-hand drive.

The odometer now displays approximately 2,500 miles, which is understood to be the distance covered since the completion of the restoration.

Build year: 1973

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

This E-Type is finished in black with a co-ordinating black soft top over a tan leather-trimmed cabin.

It rides on a set of 15-inch wire wheels, fitted with Dunlop whitewall tyres.

Equipment includes power steering, air conditioning, and an electric aerial.

Accompanying the sale are various documents of service history, a partial tool kit, jack, and spare wheel.

CONDITION

A comprehensive restoration was completed less than 3,000 miles ago by Gary Walker. This included a full respray of the bodywork, a retrimmed interior, and the replacement of the soft-top roof.

The seller notes a minor area of orange peel on the bonnet.

The vehicle holds current Victorian registration valid until 6 May 2025 and forms part of a significant collection curated by a discerning and fastidious owner.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
