Ebay item 11/10/09 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1974-JAGUAR-E-TYPE-V12-ROADSTER-BARN-FIND_ ...
Opening bid $5,200, no reserve, 2 bids 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1974 Jaguar E-type V12 roadster. White exterior color with black leather interior. Car has only 34,929 original miles Engine does not start (missing battery), several parts sitting inside cabin (brake booster, master cylinder). Driver side air cleaner assembly missing. Body is decent condition, floorboards free of rust. Interior is in great shape for its age. No rips or tears in the leather. Unsure as to when the car last ran, it does have a virginia inspection sticker dating 1990. I am not a Jaguar specialist. I've aquired the vehicle through an estate sale and have no use for the car. All numbers matching vehicle.

Current bid $5,350 reserve not met, 19 bids 9 days left in auction.
As Clive mentions above, previous auction does show "0" bids. It also shows and opening bid of $200. The opening bid value ($5,200) was cut and pasted from the November auction, it's faster and no typos. For reasons I can't explain ebay sometimes revises history, I see it with some frequency. Now if I could get them to revise history on some other things.....

Car returns to ebay 7/20/10 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-e-type-1974-v-12-jaguar-roadster-texas-car ...
Current bid $8,600 reserve not met, 6 bids 5 days left in auction. Buy it now price $32,500. Car now said to be in McAllen, Texas.
Sellers description:
I bought this car about a year a go for me to drive daily but it is just too dam hot down here for me to enjoy this car . so i am going to sell it to some lucky buyer. I bought this car in california and it needed some work so i had it delivered to me and i did a ton of work to this car as follows I stripped the paint and had it painted the original british racing green and while it was apart i put in new carpet, new top, radiator cleaned, new header tank, many hoses, gas tank removed and cleaned , new fuel pump, all carbs disassembled and cleaned, new high energy ignition system installed, new cap and wires, new fans and relays, new stainless exhaust from the mufflers back, fixed the lites all around, had all the bumpers and the luggage rack rechromed, replaced a lot of the rubber, new transmission mounts, polished this, painted that etc ,etc, etc, i spent around 10,000 dollars and i did a lot of the work . The car looks stunning . The car starts right up and runs great and shifts great, the air cond works but on high only, the car steers great but the power steering still has a leak somewhere, the car has three pirelli tires and one off brand but the car is really smoothe no shakes or rattles. The disc wheels sure drive smoother than the wire wheels to me, the radio is new, the hubcaps are new, etc this car has the original spare but no jack, the interior is real nice and i believe that the seats are original , the car overall is extremely complete and the motor compartment is outstanding. these are great cars and are truly collectible, The car only shows 34929 miles but the speedo is not working, the tach works sometimes, these cars will be forever valuable. you can probably drive it home but it is a 36 year old jaguar and texas is mighty desolate.
