Car to be offered at auction 1/15/05
www.coys.co.uk/auctions/lot.php

Auction description:
An Important Auction of British and Continental Sports & Touring Cars, Toys, Models and Automobilia
Saturday 15th January 2005
Lot 215
1974 Jaguar E Type V12 Roadster

Registration no: Dutch Registered
Chassis no: UE1S24480
Estimate: €46,000-49,000
The values of the V12 roadsters have seen a dramatic rise and fall in the last decade, however in recent times their values have returned to more or less the pre 'boom' price, especially for fine example like car we offer here. Finished in grey with a black leather interior this car had undergone a comprehensive restoration, a file accompanies the car with documentation of this work. Sitting on chrome wire wheels it is fitted with the more desirable manual gearbox and is described by the vendor as being excellent in every way. The car is supplied with Dutch registration papers and recent Dutch road test certificate.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
