This is not a show car there are a few chips in paint as in photos a scratch on driver side glass and a Crack in front screen was there when I bought it. This 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series III roadster was refurbished circa 2000 and was acquired by the seller in 2019. The car is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, and it is finished in blue over coordinated leather upholstery. Features include a replacement soft top, a top boot, and a removable hardtop in addition to four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 15” knock-off wire wheels, quadruple carburetors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and air conditioning. This Series III E-Type is now offered with the owner’s manual, partial service records, spare parts, a car cover, a hardtop stand, and a clean Maryland title in the seller’s name.

The car was refinished in its current shade of blue as part of the 2000 refurbishment and features a replacement soft top, a top boot, and a removable hardtop. Revised bumpers have been installed, and the removed components will accompany the car. The windshield was replaced in 2019.

Wire-spoke 15″ wheels are secured with knock-off spinners and are mounted with Ironman tires. The seller reports that the shocks and tires were replaced in 2023. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors.

The seats are upholstered in blue leather, which is complemented by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. The car is equipped with air conditioning, and the radio does not work.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. An analog clock along with auxiliary gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 43k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.3-liter V12 was factory equipped with quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was rated at 241 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque when new. Components replaced since 2020 include the radiator and hoses, engine shields, and exhaust. The heater core was also refurbished.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The seller notes that the clutch was replaced circa 2017.
