Ebay item 12/12/09 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Coupe-Beautiful-V12-Coupe-Rare-Color-EType ...
Current bid $5,500 reserve not met, 8 bids 6 days left in auction. Buy it now price $30k.
Sellers description:
Beautiful Jaguar EType coupe ithe the much more desirable manual gearbox....This car is avery original example and has covered only just over 17,000miles..all numbers are matching as the car is untouched except for a bare metal repaint and replacement of the exhaust with a stainless system..
I bought the car some years ago from the original owner who had kept the car in a carriage house in Brookline Mass. since the mid 80s , it was never started and never used. I brought the car to a local Jaguar shop and we had the gas/petrol tank removed, cleaned and sealed, all fuel lines cleaned out and the carbs removed and rebuilt...A new fuel pump also was installed..All fluids were changed ...The car was started and the engine was inspected and found to be in perfect condition...A coolant leak was noticed from the water pump so we replaced the water pump along with all hoses and belts...Upon recommendation from jaguar experts I had the American Emission system removed from the car...the car runs perfectly and performs like you would not believe
I removed all the paint from the car 2 years ago ...there was no rust on the car ...I removed all glass and chrome and had the car repainted...The car is an original turquoise car...I removed the rear door and brought it to a local Auto Body supply store and had them match the paint from the back of the door...I used Sickens base over clear...the Auto Body shop did an excellent job and the car looks great....the color looks like a perfect match to the original ...All the chrome is in excellent condition except for the centre section of the rear bumper where the chrome needs to be redone...the grill on the rear door is also a little tarnished...
The interior of the car is in excellent original condition...original seats and carpets...dash is perfect and all the gauges including the clock work perfectly. the original British Leyland radio still works , the wipers were not working so I had a new wiper motor installed , now works fine and self cancels. I recently had the car professionally detailed and the cleaner used compressed air on the air conditioning vents and broke one of them...they can be replaced through SNG Barrett for about $80
Needless to say the car has no or never did have any rust...all original doors and floors...never cut and welded...the car is ready to be used and enjoyed..I would heve no hesitation in taking the car on a long journey....
