Superb example of a 1973 Jaguar XKE 2+2 Series III V12 fixed-head coupe. The current owner has had the car for 30 years and had purchased the car from the original owner with only 10,000 miles. The car is currently located in Green Valley, AZ where, last year, the car won 2nd place in the British Car Division at the 2005 Tombstone Car Show.
Approximately 10 years ago over $34,000 (all receipts available) was spent on a complete interior restoration that required 13 different hides. The floor boards, or "buckets" as they are known to the Jaguar afficianado, were also replaced with new factory units. All work was performed at a custom restoration shop located in Muncie, Indiana. At the time, full harness seatbelts were also installed as well as a new sound system.
The exterior is in excellent condition with only the typical stone chips on the nose. There is a VERY slight dent in the rear bumper which is hard to see in the pictures but it is there nonetheless. The car is only driven approximately 500-750 miles per year and only in Arizona so it has never been exposed to the elements. The transmission has been rebuilt and a new water pump was installed at the time of the interior restoration. The car runs and drives flawlessly and the air conditioning functions very well. All exterior rubber trim has also been replaced since all Series III trim typically fades or cracks.
