Ebay item 5/15/21www.ebay.com/itm/144039771634
Classified ad price: $162,900, seller grautogallery, 44k miles.
Seller's description:
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this incredibly rare 1973 Jaguar XKE! This gorgeous example of British engineering comes in a stunning red paint job complemented by a clean tan interior and a new tan convertible top. The convertible top is in good condition and functions as it should. Powering this vehicle is believed to be the original 5.3 liter 12 cylinder motor mated to a crisp manual transmission. Features of the Jaguar include power front disc brakes, working heat and more. Additionally, the Jaguar recently received a full inspection and tune up by a locally well know classic automotive shop. The vehicle comes to us out of a private collection where it has spent a large portion of its life. So, if you're in the market for an iconic vehicle that even Enzo Ferrari approved of, this E-type is for you.

This 1973 Jaguar E-Type Series III roadster was acquired by the seller and their brother in 1985, and it is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in Signal Red over Biscuit leather, and features include a tan soft top, a top boot, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 15” knock-off wire wheels, quadruple carburetors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a cassette stereo. This Series III E-Type is now offered with a clean Michigan title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Signal Red and was repainted in 1985, while a replacement tan soft top was fitted in 2021. The seller notes a paint chip on the windshield cowl and paint cracks around the hood vents.
The 15″ wire-spoke wheels are secured with knock-off spinners and are mounted with 205/70 Michelin tires. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The seller states that the brakes were serviced in 2017.
The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in Biscuit leather as well as color-coordinated door panels. A Blaupunkt cassette stereo is fitted in the dash, and the air conditioning is inoperative.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. An analog clock along with auxiliary gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 45k miles, approximately 1,600 of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory equipped with quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was rated at 241 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque when new. The seller states that the carburetors were rebuilt and the water pump and drive belts replaced in 2017.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
