Sellers description:
Beautiful restoration to a very nice one owner 1973 Jaguar E-Type V12...this car is in excellent condition overall, very nice body ,all panels align excellent and gaps are as they should be...there is no rust whatsoever on the car rocker panels and floors are completly origional ..the was never involved ion any type of accident and other they been repainted has never has to be cut and welded......the restoration consisted of a very nice repaint of the car, the big bumpers of the american spec car of 1973 were replaced with the much nicer and more desireable small bumpers of the European spec and earlier car..
..new interior..carpets, door panels, seats, center consol and parcel shelf...the dash is in excellent condition so was not replaced...new convertable top was put on the car...the expensive canvas type and not vinyl..
Mechanically the car has been gone through...the engine has been recently serviced by a local Jaguar facility, carbs have been rebuilt just a few weeks ago and the car runs just as it should...the car starts right up with excellent oil pressure 60lbs at cold start and runs all day at 35 to 40 lbs depending on the revs of the engine... the gearbox is also in excellent condition.. the car has the much more desireable 4 speed manual transmission..there are no odd noises or whines...clutch operates as it should ..over the last 12 months the car has has all new brakes done...pads and rotors front and back..new master cylinder... slave cyl...etc....even the hand brake was overhauled and now works and hold the car perfect...the car has had a complete new exhaust fitted..
All the chrome and glass are in excellent condition...there is no cracks in the glass and no pitts in the chrome. Overall this is an excellent car that a lot of money has been spent...I do have reciets for thousands of dollars in parts and labor done to this car...It runs and drives just as it should and just needs to be used and enjoyed..I would have no hesitation in taking this car on a long trip. The only thing that the car needs in a sound system...the origional radio was misplaced by the interior shop during the restoration..

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
