    Sellers description:
Finished in classic Black with beige leather interior and black convertible top. This 1973 E-Type comes with stick shift 4 speed transmission, factory air conditioning, chrome wire wheels and more. Originally from the west coast and later Florida this was the Johnny Walker Black Label Trophy Car with Tag # JWBL1. I understand it was owned at one time by Johnnie Walker agents to promote their fine black label. The present owner has maintained this car with an open check book for the last five years. This is a truly beautiful example of one of Jaguar's greatest creations. The E-Type roadster is the only car to adorn the Museum of Modern Art as the finest designed sports car of all times. Being one of the last produced, make this the perfect collectable with exceptional investment potential. The sophisticated investor, collector, or enthusiast will not be disappointed. Esentially no rust. I say this to be accurate and not to be held liable if someone identifies a tiny bit.

    Auction description:

    Seller: ggetz59

Location: Havre De Grace, Maryland, previously Tallahassee, Florida.

    Chassis: UD1S21083

    59k Miles Shown, TMU

    5.3-Liter V12

    Four-Speed Manual Transmission

    Repaint in Black

    Tan Leather Upholstery

    Black Soft Top

    15" Knock-Off Wire Wheels

    Quad Exhaust Outlets

Private Party or Dealer: Private Party

    Lot #83715

This 1973 Jaguar E-Type is a Series III roadster that was purchased by the seller in 2006. The car is finished in black over tan leather and is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black soft top, chrome bumpers and trim, 15″ chrome wire wheels, and quad exhaust outlets. This Jaguar XKE Series III Roadster is now offered with the factory jack, boot cover, and a clean Maryland title in the seller’s name.

The car repainted in black under previous ownership and is equipped with a black soft top, chrome bumpers and trim, V12 emblems, and quad exhaust outlets. Corners of the soft top show wear.

Chrome 15″ wire wheels are secured with lobed knockoffs and wear 205/60 Dunlop Signature tires showing 2007 date codes. A matching spare is located in the trunk. Braking is through four-wheel discs with inboard rear rotors.

The cockpit features tan leather bucket seats along with matching door panels and carpets. The air conditioning and the windshield washer pump do not work. The seatbelts were replaced in 2019, and wear is present on the seat backs and door panels where they contact the soft top mechanism.

The three-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket cover, and Smiths instruments include a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The clock does not work. The five-digit odometer shows 59k miles. The seller reports that the odometer does not work, and total mileage is unknown.

The 5.3-liter V12 features quad Zenith-Stromberg carburetors as well as a single overhead camshaft for each cylinder bank. A PerTronix ignition system was fitted in 2008, and the seller reports that the battery was replaced in preparation for sale. The engine leaks fluids.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Leaks from the rear differential and elsewhere are evident.

Some history per the previous owner: Fantasy Junction in Emeryville, CA sold it to United Distillers who make Johnnie Walker Whiskey. A Mr. Carbonel won the car in the Johnnie Walker Classic Jaguar Competition (if you google it you’ll see a black V-12 E-Type toy car)). It was then sold to a doctor in Florida who owned it for 5 years. I bought it locally in 2022 from the 3rd owner who owned it for approx. 15 years.
