The E-Type Series 3 V-12 Roadster presented here certainly ranks among the most compelling examples of its type available to come to market, incredibly well-preserved with a numbers-matching engine and an odometer reading just 6,471 miles at cataloguing time. Per a copy of its Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, this superb Series 3 was completed 22 June 1972, finished as it is today in White over Dark Blue leather trim and equipped with air conditioning and an automatic transmission.
Incredibly, the car retains its original warranty service book and plate, which details the sale to its first owner, Penelope K. Koch of Grand Rapids, Michigan on 15 December 1972. As evidenced by its extraordinarily low mileage and well-preserved presentation, it is clear Ms. Koch provided her E-Type with a pampered life of gentle use. Importantly, the car retains its original numbers-matching engine and, in addition to the period documents, is accompanied by a black factory hardtop.
Marque enthusiasts will be hard-pressed to find a more compelling Series 3 E-Type, given this wonderful example’s excellent state of preservation, low mileage, and attractive specification.
