1969 Jaguar E Type 4.2 Series 2 2+2, LHD, Automatic, matching numbers, original paint, 62,400 miles, rust free. Direct from California we are pleased to offer superb example of a straight E Type for restoration or re-commission. This is a completely original matching numbers car, still in the original paint it left the factory in. The last owner had the car for many years and is believed to be only the second owner. The car was rescued form a barn in California and was last on the road in 1990. As well as being completely original this car has absolutely zero rust anywhere, all the usual problem areas are completely solid and 100% rot free including the boot, floors and bulkhead.
The original body panels and chassis are also in very good condition other than some minor dents. The matching numbers engine does start and run from a temporary fuel supply. The chrome trim is all present and very useable as are the original chrome wire wheels. The glass is perfect with no cracks and the dash is also useable with no splits. I have the heritage certificate for the car confirming the matching numbers and build date of 4th December 1969. With solid, original cars like this becoming increasingly hard to find this represents a fantastic opportunity to start your restoration from a very solid base, rather than spending months in the body shop or for a small investment get this car on the road and enjoy it as it is - a survivor.
