Ebay item 6/15/11
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-2-2-CONVERTED-ROADSTER-Type-Race-Car-/110701639942
Opening bid $12,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction. 75k miles.

Sellers description:
Series II XKE. Maroon with Silver Stripes/Black interior. NOTE: This car was originally a 2+2 Coupe. It has been cut into a true Roadster. It DOES NOT HAVE a soft top. It DOES NOT HAVE glass in the doors. Windshield is plexiglass. Headlights moved to the center of the grille opening. Door handles shaved. It is a Roadster type race car configuration!!! Just a great HAVE FUN driving car! MILES EXEMPT.

Dual overhead 4.2 litre 6 cylinder engine; 4 speed syncromesh transmission; two Stromberg side draft carburetors; 4 wheel disc brakes; power steering.

NEW paint in good to excellent condition; Correct Series II XKE interior-seats and door panels; chrome wire wheels; brakes, clutch and suspension in excellent condition. Everything works well.

So, if you have always wanted to own a "race car" type car then this is the car for you. It is practical--you can drive it on the street or take it to the track. Best of all--this car is AFFORDABLE!!!! Don't miss out on having incredible fun.
