This excellent example is said to drive exceptionally well. The car appears to have had a recent major restoration. This work includes, re-built engine, full front and rear suspension overhaul with new Koni shock absorbers. The braking system seems all to have been renewed, and the car has a new aluminium radiator and a new Webasto sun-roof. The car also has been completely re-wired, and has Aston Martin style chrome wire wheels.

Guide Price: £32000 to £37000

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
