Ebay auction 10/14/03 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $6.7k, two bids, reserve not met, 8 days left in auction.
Sellers comment:
I own an aircraft interior shop and received this car in trade on an aircraft interior. The previous owner had the car painted and the engine rebuild approx. 10 years ago. He never finished the restoration and the car has been sitting in storage the past 10 years. The engine has stuck from sitting so long, the rear bumpers, trans. tunnel cover, and chrome on tops of fenders is missing. I have the front bumpers and all the other missing chrome and lights. Parts for these cars are easily obtainable. Will give winner bidder catalogs. Paint is bubbling on the rockerpanel. The floor pans and trunk pans are very solid. The car has new top but is not installed. If you any questions or would like photos other than what shown please contact me. This car probably has a lower reserve price than any XKE of this caliber ever shown on EBAY.
Vehicle Condition
Car needs total restoration but is mostly complete and looks very nice

Sellers description:
This is a 1970 Roadster that was in the process of being restored and was never finished. The car is complete with the exception of the interior. All the other parts are in boxes and are in good condition. The bumpers have been rechromed to show quality by Artistic plating, which does some of the best plating in the states. The car does come with a vinyl top and the frame is complete. The car does have factory A/C. The wire wheels are in good condition and so are the tires. The motor was rebuilt around 10 years ago and I think it would turn over with lube poured in the cyls. The engine compartment is complete. All the glass is good. There is no rust in the boot area. This would make a great car with a little TLC and at the price of these cars going up on a daily basis, it would make a great investment. The car does have rust in the rear part of the floors and in the rockers. The right side rocker is worse the the left. There is no rust in the doors or bonnet .Again, this is a project car and does need some work to be put on the road. This car is sold as is, where is
Vehicle Condition
This is a project car and does need to be restored. There is rust in the rocker areas and the rear parts of the floors( some holes in the floors) The bonnet does have a dent in the center which would be an easy fix it did not push the inner part of the bonnet in very much. The car does need a complete interior. Seats, console, carpet ect.
