Current bid $2,247.22 reserve not met, 5 bids, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1964 Fixed Head Coupe is one of the most desirable of the XKE’s. The car was purchased in April of 1990 as it is today, from the previous owner, to do a full restoration of the car, which never happened. The car is untouched other than what the previous owner had started, which was disassembling some of the interior and the exterior being repainted. The car comes with an extra gas tank, but the original tank is still on the car and still holds gasoline. The car was stored in current owner’s heated garage since purchased. There are several coats of re-paint, and the car appears to have been an original white with gray interior and wire knockoff wheels. Odometer shows 20,564 miles, we are told this is original miles. Some rust in the drives side door jam, rest of car looks good. We have not had the car on a hoist to inspect the underside. Wire wheels with poor condition tires allow the car to roll freely. Front end, around oval, show evidence of damage and start of poor repair. Bonnet has dents, as well as other areas of the car.

Car DOES NOT currently run. Will need to be trailered home. Tires do hold air, long enough to load onto a trailer.

A couple of people have looked at the car in years passed. One who looked at it said that the engine compartment was one of the most original, untouched Series I 3.8 Liter cars he had seen, being fully intact, including appropriate carb tags. The engine was professionally tuned prior to current owner’s purchase and ran well, but has not been started in several years. Yes it is a matching number car with Engine #RA4939-9, with Serial #889802.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
