On Ebay missing engine, transmission and bonnet, remainder "is excellent!"

1963 Jaguar XKE Coupe Solid virtually rust free Texas car, sold new in Irving Texas, 1-owner from April 24th 1963 until 6/15/2009 the original owner died. The bonnet/hood was removed and lost, the engine and transmission were removed to be serviced/rebuilt and detailed. The shop that they were sent to went out of business and these are now lost. What is left is excellent! This car was last registered in 1980 and the last inspection was done in 1974. Showing 25,251 miles and is believed to be actual. This car has very rare rear mounted A/C. The interior appears to be complete. No damage on front of the frame area. Original chassis number on front rail. Great start for a restoration. We have obtained the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate it list all the numbers. Clear Texas title.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
