Sold by Classic Jaguar, Austin, Texas.
For sale description follows: "First, let's get the bad news out of the way! This 1963 E Type requires a total restoration. It has rust in all the usual places. At a minumum it will need complete floors, inner and outer sills, and pretty extensive repairs to the bonnet.
The good news is this car really is a prime candidate for restoration. It is a two owner, matching number car that was put away in driving condition back in the mid seventies. Better still, it is 99.9% complete, missing nothing of any significance."

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
