Sellers description:
1963 Jaguar XKE Series I Coupe showing 52,527 miles offered by Gas Monkey Garage! I'm offering this solid and honest XKE just as we found it so you can build it just the way you want!. It was owned by a very enthusiastic admirer of the XKE for most of its life. He was able to enjoy and maintain it as it should have been until he was no longer able to enjoy driving it anymore. This car was then stored in a protected barn where is was fairly well preserved except for the area where the battery leaked acid and the resulting corrosion in that area is severe, but repairable. Even the floors are fairly solid with minor rust perforation around the drain hole plugs (removed for clear pics of the rust) Please see all pics (especially the spare tire tub!) The doors and hinges are solid and tight. This 1963 Jaguar XKE has been stored for years and hasn't been started or driven for quite some time, therefore it will need to be completely serviced before attempting to start it for the first time. Due to our filming schedule we will not be able to perform any work or service this E-Type Coupe for you (sold as is/where is). The exterior is in good condition appearing to have been re-sprayed at some time in the past with nicks and scratches and some "crazing "of the paint as well(see all pics). All of the chrome bumpers and trim are present and in good condition showing some minor pitting and discoloration (not visible in a photo). The interior appears to be fairly complete with early style toggle switches. The seats are complete and operational with solid upholstery. All door panels, interior panels and the rear luggage compartment are in good, restorable condition. The engine compartment appears original and unmolested having been maintained throughout the years (see all pics).Underside pics reveal a fairly solid tub with minimal rust present on most mechanical components. This rare 1963Jaguar XKE is located in Dallas Texas. Clear Title in hand! If you're looking for a good, solid example of the iconic 1963 Jaguar XKE Coupe in good, restorable condition you won't find a better example that's priced to sell!
