Seller's description of above auction :
1963 Jaguar XKE
Extremely dry and rust free car!
Sold new in California, then migrated to Nevada, this car has never seen the east coast which means an original rust free underside!
Spot welds visible on sills, and original metal all around.
This car has been under the same ownership by an elderly couple for many years.
always garaged.
At one point the original engine was replaced with a series 1 4.2L e-type Engine# 7E9278-9 as well as the full synchromesh gearbox
Making this car the perfect driver!
The engine is extremely quiet and smooth, most likely a very low mileage replacement, the oil pressure is excellent as well.
The underside is one of the best out there as far as originality and solidness, original undamaged floors, original sills with spot welds, clearly seen spot welds near the bonnet locks and were the body meets the firewall. spare tire area is no different, very dry.
Seats have obviously been changed out. and I believe this is a late 1963 build which is why it is not sporting its aluminum dash and console.
This is the perfect driver for someone, WITHOUT the price tag! not many solid and honestly rust free E types on the market.
(FUEL PUMP is the clicking noise in the video)
