Ebay item 10/7/09 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Opening bid US $5,995, no reserve, no bids yet 5 days left in auction. Note seller describes car as a '66, it has what appears to be a 4.2L motor however this VIN, on the picture frame, would put the car around '62. The car appears to have a bellows style brake booster which would be consistent with a 3.8L car.
Sellers description:
1966 E type jaguar two seat coupe. this car has been in storage for many many years however the body is definately showing its age. the chassis is complete to the best of my knowledge from the front axel to the rear differential. the 4.2 liter engine seems complete and turns freely, four speed transmission, linkage, steering column, differential, brakes, all 3 carbs, air cleaner and drive line are all complete and unmolested. steering wheel and instruments are extremely nice, interior complete and restorable. the five wire wheels do show their age but are definately restorable. the car has a good wisconsin title. the windshield is cracked. the front bonnet is very solid and restorable. the radiator seems to have never been dented or repaired. the body has been mildly customized sometime in the 70s, the bumpers, headlight lenses and bezels have been removed but are included with the sale.
this car would make a terrific project or a super chassis doner for a high end roadster restoration.
