car is vor sale from AutoMooji:
www.automooij.nl/jaguar/xke/e-type/beek-en-donk/occ20813709
Description:
Very early '62 Jaguar E-type 3.8 Series I Fixed Head Coupé (FHC).
Delivered on March 23, 1962, to Mr. G. Hansen in Pt. Alberni, British Columbia, Canada.
This was even the 41st E-type coupé delivered to Canada (according to inquiries at the Jaguar Archives).
Delivered by Jaguar of Eastern Canada in Montreal.
Still in the same color scheme as when the car left the factory: a cream exterior with a red leather interior.
Upon receipt, we fully inspected the engine and fitted it with new cylinder head gaskets, filters, oil, spark plugs, etc.
It also has a fully reconditioned differential, new exhaust mufflers, and Wilwood brake discs.
Also, various spare parts, including the original red leather bucket seats.
Extensive documentation is included with the car, including the Jaguar Heritage certificate.
Even service invoices dating back to the 1970s! The car is equipped with a 3.8-liter engine with three double carburetors.
This is no longer the matching numbers, but it is a 3.8, like the first XKEs.
It's also nice that some of the car's history is known.
For example, it is known that the car has had five owners.
There are also several email exchanges between these owners.
This is certainly not a perfect example, and no one would expect one at this price.
The fact that it is an early 3.8 with an interesting history adds to the car's value.
Mechanically sound, the car drives, brakes, runs, and shifts smoothly.
And especially in this (original) color scheme, it looks stunning!
This car comes directly from America and currently does not have a Dutch license plate (unless otherwise indicated). The car comes with the original American registration certificate/ownership papers, the so-called 'US Title,' which allows the car to be registered.
