Car was totally restored in 1989/90. Upgrades include all-synchro gearbox, oversized radiator and modern electric fan for cooling, engine rebuilt Level 1 (GTRLVL1) by Gran Turismo Jaguar. Car in very good condition mechanically. Bood good but not concours. Fantastic driver! Full tool kit & manuals.

The VIN is 881522, Body No. R8480, Engine No. RA6787, and the original gearbox no. was EB14818J8 which was replaced with a Series II sycro box. The original is available but needs rebuilding.

No one has ever applied for the Jaguar Heritage Certificate for this car as far as we know.

The car looks good and runs and drives well. I have personally owned many Jaguars, beginning with a new one like this in 1964. I am pretty familiar with these cars. This is a good example of a series I Jaguar in very good driver condition. It is very nice but is not detailed to professional show standards but would place well in local hobby car shows and would make an excellent driver.
