Engine 3.8 Liter, NUMBERS MATCH. Rebuilt 1500 miles ago, 7/2003, at Jaguar Specialist, Paul Toth, Fallingthon, Pa. From bearings to timing gears & chains, tensioner, head with performance retainers. Three fresh S.U. Carbs., electronic ignition, torque reduction starter. Barely touch the starter button to fire engine. Runs strong! The 3.8 has a mystique and attitude that exdues from the tail pipes. Clutch, pressure plate, disc, & bearing all new. Along with smooth shifting rebuilt full syncromesh gear box, syncro's & lay shaft ETC. Aluminum raditor, header tank, hoses updated. Runs cool, GREAT SYSTEM! Rear end differential, serviced. Brakes stop strong and sure! New front pads. Silicone brake fluid (doesn't absorb the moisture.) Low long term maintenance. Suspension tight, new lower ball joints. ALL 4 NEW Pirelli P4000 205-70 tires. Rides and handles GREAT! This is a real world driveable, reliable, believable, 40 YEAR OLD SPORTS CAR.
Vehicle Condition
These cars are to be enjoyed & driven! This is a sorted car! Exhaust system & gas tank replaced a few seasons ago. I've owned the car since 2/9/00. I brought it from my denist who owned it since 1985. His dental school instructor purchased it for $1500 in 1973 out of the Washington Post. In the late 70's it was sold to his doctor friend, about that time it was resprayed red from gunmetal gray. Few blemishes after all these years. Still shines great! You'll LOVE THIS E-Type! Hardtop included.

Car returns to ebay 10/2/06 sound.It runs very cool for an E-Type with the alloy radiator. All interior parts are present but obviously it needs an interior kit. The car would look Fabulous as a Triple red ( Body / interior/ Hardtop) ( The early factory brochure shows a red 61 roadster with a red hardtop although by the time they went into production hardtops were produced in black and it was up to the owner to paint them through the dealer etc.) The interior is correct for this 64 as the alloy console and dash were deleted by then and changed to 4.2 style with a console glove box as per next years 4.2 . This is the Car to have and drive being (and I have owned and driven many thousands of miles in these) (3.8 Litre the sweetest Motor , Best Gearbox (Close Ratio full synchro), Early Series 1 E-Type there is .
