Sold 27 October 2012 for US$25,700. Seller's description: "A garage find summer of 08. The owner who I purchased it from passed before I could get any of my questions answered. I do not know too much about the history of this vehicle. What you see is the way I found it . Fall of 08 took a big hit with the economy going down the tubes, had to move and put the Jag instorage. I pulled it out of storage July 12 took it to a Jag mechanic, he stated he got it running, " but running rough, but didnt appear to have any catastophic loss to the engine or trans".

Owner states that the cylinder head is " # RA3461-9". This differs from the data plate which gives the engine number as RA5899-9. The data plate photo is shown as copied from the eBay advertisement.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
