    Ebay item 10/6/08

    Opening bid $20,000 reserve not met, no bids yet, 8 days left in auction. Complete VIN on this car is J64879370.

    Sellers description:
    1964 Jaguar E-Type Roadster with the original factory hardtop.

    I had purchased the vehicle six months ago from a friend of mine who passed away, with the intention of completing the restoration that he started in 1971. However, due to me relocating my job, I do not have the infrastructure to complete this beautiful vehicle myself.

    The vehicle had been completely restored mechanically by my friend before his passing.

    Restorations Include:
    * Frame
    * Engine
    * Brakes
    * Drive Train
    * Transmission
    * Installation of Triple Webber Carburetors with Manifold
    * Installation of Stainless Steel Exhaust

    This vehicle is completely RUST FREE and has lived in California since 1964. Since the beginning of its restoration in 1971, the vehicle has remained in an enclosed garage and was well preserved. The engine starts right up and runs with excellent oil pressure. The cooling system is working properly and does not overheat. All interior instruments are working and the vehicle has new tires as well.

    The hood needs minor body work, as well as the rear taillight section. Otherwise the body is in good shape, with minor dings. The front light housing units are completely new (new chrome and glass casings). The original hardtop is in good condition (needs the rubber trim). This vehicle does not have the soft top frame. The seats are in good condition, however the interior will need to be reupholstered.

    I have all the chrome parts and extra new parts that will be included with the vehicle.
