Sellers description:
This 1963 E-type roadster is pretty much complete. The car was shipped from the factory to California, then it ended up in Chicago and then to Massachusetts. The engine turns freely and it is a 1963 engine. The head and block numbers match. The engine does not match the commission plate though. The body, chassis and gearbox match the commission plate. This is common to replace the engine for California cars as the engines would burn out before the body fell apart. The body is in pretty decent shape. Where the bonnet hinges is dry and the belly pan is dry. The doors are in good shape, the floors have had some work done to them. The car will need the rear belly pan where the spare tire goes as you can see in the pictures. The soft top frame is all there, but there is no fabric on it. The interior is all there. The seats, the dash and instruments. It will need door panels. As you can see this car is for restoration. It does steer and roll for ease of shipment. I do have a clear California title with this car. This is a no reserve auction.
