Info gathered with permission from:

In Early 1976 875325 was located in Georgia, still in the hands of the original owner. This car was featured in an article, "The Classy Cat from Coventry," in the December 1978 7he Car Collector. The car was extensively pictured, and appeared to be very original, apparently retaining its original interior, and having a very original engine compartment. It appeared to have painted wire wheels, round brake-fluid reservoirs with black covers with side spade clips, the original aluminium radiator, the round-cross section steering wheel, and, apparently, wide chrome trim on the bottom of the windshield. Car had a white hood.

Tom Haddock (E-type restoration guide author) writes in the July '80 issue of Ejag magazine that this car has been added to his register of early cars.

This car is STILL owned by the original owner from 1961 till now. The car was run in a Walter Mitty vintage race event at Road Atlanta in the mid 80's but since then has sat under a cover un-used. The car is still original exterior color in bronze (not red). The owner said the car had been repainted in 1974 but not a whole lot done since then.

This vehicle is currently in Lithonia, GA, being mechanically refurbished after a 25 year hibernation. It is not being cosmetically restored, but will be getting a new top (hood).
This vehicle was present at the very first Walter Mitty race at Road Atlanta in 1978, where I was fortunate to be able to do about a dozen laps in it during the event. I am also the author/photographer of the Car Collector story mentioned in the first comment above.
This vehicle escaped serious injury in the early '80s (IIRC) when the barn in Decatur, GA, in which it was being stored collapsed on it (and several other cars) due to a rare Atlanta area snowstorm. It received a few minor dents, which incidentally were removed last week by a paintless dent removal technician.
Current mileage on this car shows as 33,113 as of this post and is known to be accurate.
Is this the earliest XKE still in the hands of its original purchaser? Is this the most original and/or low-mileage early XKE extant? It would be interesting to know...

Doc,
It'll probably have to wait until we get it running again, as it is too dark inside this cavern to take decent pics. I believe someone in the JCNA is planning to document this car and I wouldn't be surprised to see it make the Journal sooner or later.

The owner of this car passed away on Oct 18, 2013.
The car is back on the road and pictures will be posted in the next few days. Mileage as of 8/25/13 is less than 33, 200.
