Outside: In fine condition having spent the majority of its life in Dallas. Panel quality is excellent; no rust or serious corrosion and an absence of dents and other damage. The doors fit well, the paintwork is glossy and the chrome is good bar a dink on the rear bumper. The wire wheels and spinners are in great condition and the wheels have whitewall tyres, Michelin on the front and Bridgestone on the rear. The mohair hood is new and fits as it should. The boot lid needs finessing to sit lower on the offside, it is missing the E from the E Type badge, and one of the stainless steel exhaust pipes sits higher than the other.
Inside: The car was retrimmed recently with the beige upholstery in fabulous condition. The door cards, carpets, seats and luggage area are all very good. The dashboard is free of cracks, the Smiths dials and rocker switches look like new and the original push button radio is retained. It has Kangal retractable seat belts. Lifting the carpet reveals Dynamat sound deadening mats and rust free metal to the floors. The gear lever gaiter needs replacing and the lid of the ashtray repainting.
Underneath: Around$20,000 was spent refurbishing the mechanics in 2017. Works included full fluid and ignition service; rebuilding and tuning the SU carburettors; repairing the wiring harness; flushing the cooling system and fitting a new radiator, water pump and heater valves; servicing the front end of the car and fitting new steering wheel mounts, tie rod ends and dampers; rebuilding the braking system and engine rebuild with new bearings and thrust washers. Checked over on arrival in the UK the car was found to drive well with no obvious faults.
