    Ebay item 5/31/12
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Opening bid $18,500, no reserve, no bids 2 days left in auction. 27k miles.

    Sellers description:
1972 Jaguar XKE 2+2. This car is rust free. Car was professionally painted original sable brown color. Chrome is in nice shape. Motor has new gaskets, new jack shaft, new distributor, new plug wires, new brakes, new exhaust system, new clutch, new pressure plate. Car has been stored in my garage and driven less than 500 miles in the last three years. Car will need minor tune-up from sitting as well as power booster and a/c needs to be recharge. The power steering also has minor leak. Interior is original except for the headliner which has been replaced.

I have owned this car for 9 years and unfortunately I do not have the time to enjoy it as much as I would like to. I have many hours into this car and has won several local car shows. The car will need some freshening up.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
