Up for auction is a 1972 Jaguar XKE 2+2. It is a red coupe with the V-12 engine, 4 speed transmission, wire wheels, and air conditioning. The vehicle has been sitting in a garage and started occasionally for about 5 years, so it does need a little work to make it roadworthy again. The paint is not original but is in fair condition with a few blemishes. The carbs had been rebuilt a while back, but after sitting all this time, they are not functioning properly. The engine will start & run, but not smoothly and requires some choke to keep running. The air conditioning works! The master cylinder is leaking fluid, so the brakes do not work. The front seats have been re-upholstered in matching Jaguar leather and the interior looks good. It has 4 Michelin tires with good tread, but they do show some signs of dry rot. The odometer is showing 64,067 miles, and we believe this to be accurate. This car would be a great project for someone who doesn’t mind doing a little work, and might be able to turn a profit, after looking at what some of these cars are selling for! The current owner has just lost interest in it. Since the vehicle is not road worthy, it is offered as is, where is. No warranty, shipping or delivery is offered. The vehicle must be picked up at the garage where it is currently stored, in Yorktown Virginia. Current owner is the second owner and has had the car for 20 years.
